Lucille Lemon Henry, 86, widow of Moses Henry Sr., died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at her home.

Born Aug. 12, 1924, in the Ram Bay section of Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Tassie Lemon Sr. and Charlotte Davis Lemon. She attended Clarendon County public schools. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member serving with the missionary society and the pastor's aide committee.

Survivors include two sons, Moses Henry Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Willie (Tammy) Henry of Manning; a daughter, Lottie (Dave) Fleming of Manning; a nephew she reared as her own, Charles (Lorraine) Lemon of Manning; an aunt, Carrie L. Briggs of Manning; three granddaughters; three grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 4829 Alex Harvin Highway, U.S. 301, Manning. The Rev. Dr. Ashley B. Vaughn, pastor, officiated. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at her home, 906 Berry St., Manning.
