LUCILE WINN PRINCE
Mother Lucile Winn Prince, daughter of the late James and Patsy Lucile Moses Winn, died on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at the home.
She was preceded in death by a loving husband, Othealor W. Prince Sr.; a brother, James Winn; and a grandchild, Tonell Butler.
Lucile Prince, affectionately known as "Mother Prince," was born on July 26, 1932, and was reared in Mayesville, Sumter County. Mrs. Prince was united in marriage to the late Othealor Wendell Prince Sr. in 1956, and from this union three children were born: Othealor Wendell Prince Jr., Tamara Lita Prince-Davis (Walter) and Deirdre Jerell Prince-Butler (Tony, deceased). Mother Prince later adopted Bishop Jeffery Johnson as her son and Pastor and Minister Cynthia Johnson as one of her daughters. Mrs. Prince was the grandmother of eight grandchildren, Othealor W. Prince III, Melody J. Prince, Alvin Z. Myers Jr., Jaime Myers Raynor (Vincent), Darren L. Myers (Victoria), Joshua Jett (Alanah), Diamond Jett and Tony Butler Jr. She was the great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren; and the mother of countless children who experienced her love.
Mrs. Prince was a 1955 graduate of the historically black Morris College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 1955. Mrs. Prince began teaching at Mayesville Elementary School, Sumter County School District 2, in 1963, and retired after 51 years of service in the South Carolina public school system. "Mother Prince" was a born-again child of YHVH, having repented and having been baptized in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus and gifted by YHVH with the promised gift of the holy spirit. She was a longtime friend, member and honored mother of Faith Deliverance Temple Church, where she found the love of God dwelling in the shepherding personality of Bishop Jeffery Johnson.
Mother Lucile Prince leaves a rich legacy of public service to the state and citizens of South and Carolina and to her family and friends and fellow saints. She also leaves a reach legacy of love through sacrifice and service with everyone who knew her.
On Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at approximately 10:34 p.m., while in the embrace of her son, the sovereign YHVH presented Mother Lucile Prince with a crown of righteousness and eternal citizenship in the kingdom of God.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Jeffery Johnson officiating.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.
