Lottie Mae Wilson Patrick, 86, widow of Charlie Patrick, died June 30 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born Aug. 3, 1923, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Addline Brown Wilson. She attended Williamsburg County public schools. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a church school teacher and was former president and member of the church's Missionary Society. She was a member of the Lillie White Chapter No. 349 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the YWCA. She retired from Joseph Department Store in Greelyville as a sales clerk.

Survivors include a son, Louis (Ather) Patrick of Little River; a daughter, Louise (Henry) Hutchinson of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Margaret (Cicroe) Salters of Salters; a brother, Moise Wilson of Salters; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 5 at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Salters with the Rev. Willie Bryant, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Rocky Ford Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home in Salters.

HENRY B. STARKS Sr.

Henry B. Starks Sr., 77, husband of Essie Mae Wright Starks, died July 3 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.

Born April 15, 1933, in Manning, he was a son of the late Frances and Lila Hilton Starks. He attended Clarendon County public schools. He joined Mt. Roney Baptist Church at an early age, later joining Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. He was a contractor for New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, N.C.

Survivors besides his wife of the home include four daughters, Shirley Thomas of Wilmington, Lila (Richmond) McDuffie, Cynthia McQueen and Delphine Starks, all of Manning; three sons, Frankie (Adell) Starks, Ervin (Julia) Starks and Johnny (Charmaine) Starks, all of Wilmington; five sisters, Mildred Ferguson, Audrey Richardson, Willivee Ruose, Margie Tindal and Loretta Starks; three grandchildren reared in the home, Jeremiah Starks, Trent McQueen Jr. and Justus McQueen; and 18 additional grandchildren.

A wake service was held July 9 at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held July 10 at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Dinkins St., Manning, with the Rev. George P. Windley, pastor, officiating. Burial was held in the Union Cypress AME Church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 1107 Watford Drive, Manning.
