LINDA KAY HOPKINS CHRISTIAN

Linda Kay Hopkins Christian, 71, widow of Donald Ray Christian, died on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at her home.

Born on June 22, 1950, in Wise, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Violetta Dotson Hopkins. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Christian owned and operated D&L Diner.

Survivors include eight siblings, Audrey Evans (Charles) of Tennessee, Danny Hopkins (Joy) of Tennessee, Cindy Rehder of Virginia, Randy Hopkins (Linda) of Florence, Brenda Hopkins of Virginia, Tim Hopkins (Tammy) of Tennessee, Marty Hopkins (Selina) of Tennessee and Bobby Hopkins of Charleston; and numerous very special nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for as her own.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Rita Smith, Kenneth Hopkins, Ruth Wilson, Phillip Hopkins and Brian Hopkins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Long Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Long Branch Baptist Church.
