Letter to the editor: Painted lines on roads exist for our safety

Am I the only person in the city that does NOT have 20/20 vision? My understanding that the purpose of the painted lines are to help you to stay within a certain area. Is that incorrect? If so, painted lines sure would help. Let's give them a name. Broad Street, Liberty Street, large portion of Alice Drive and Miller Road. Those are all high activity. If you look, you may find others. I'm helping you to find some. We want Sumter to be a safe place to drive, so let's do it.
