Letter: Sumter Board of Realtors endorses several local candidates for election

Representatives of the Sumter Board of Realtors have met with the screened candidates seeking election to Sumter mayor, city council and school board positions. The candidates listed below have been recommended for election.

We suggest you consider supporting these candidates in the general election Tuesday, Nov. 3. They have been found to identify strongly with those issues important to our industry.

The Sumter Board of Realtors currently has a membership of 330+ Realtors and associates. Interviews with the candidates were designed primarily to provide the board's membership with information as to which of the candidates was best qualified for the post.

Five of the six persons seeking election to the office of mayor were interviewed during the selection process.

Two of the four persons seeking election to the office of city council's Ward 2 were interviewed during the selection process.

Both persons seeking election to the office of city council's Ward 4 were interviewed during the selection process.

One of the two persons seeking election to the office of city council's Ward 6 was interviewed during the selection process.

Three of the four persons seeking election to the office of the school board's District 6 were interviewed during the selection process.
