LEROY JAMES

Leroy "Roy" James was born on Jan. 26, 1940, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Semon and Lucinda J. James. He departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was a lifelong member of Antioch Union Methodist Episcopal Church, Rimini, where he served faithfully on the usher and trustee ministries.

Surviving are his sister, Louvenia J. (Leroy) Dinkins of Sumter, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Antioch UME Church, 10026 Old River Road, Rimini, SC 29125 with Pastor Lawrence Myers, eulogist, and the Right Rev. Willie Green Jr. presiding. Interment will follow in Antioch Memorial Gardens.
