Lee Central High's Anjennette James named Morris College Counselor of the Month for June

This is the third in a contest series called Counselor of the Month. Presented by Morris College, the public is asked to nominate their favorite high school guidance counselor in public and private schools throughout Sumter, Clarendon and Lee counties. After the nomination period, the public votes between four finalists determined by The Sumter Item staff. The Counselor of the Month is announced in The Sumter Item's newspaper and online at www.theitem.com/counselor on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The winner receives a $50 gift certificate to a different local business each month and Morris College swag.

"Mrs. Anjennette James is an individual that works diligently to ensure that students are equipped with all of the tools they need to make wise decisions as it relates to their academics. She is very encouraging to our students and always works to promote positive behaviors from them. She maintains an open door policy with students and parents. Mrs. James maintains a high level of professionalism when interacting with everyone she comes in contact with."
