LARRY LEE CUMMINGS

Larry Lee Cummings, 84, husband of Rose Pack Cummings and widower of Virginia Ann Scott Cummings, died on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Nov. 8, 1935, in Owasso, Michigan, he was a son of the late Herbert and Mildred Grainger. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also retired from Kaydon Corp. after 22 years of service. Larry was a simple man, a people person and a loyal husband and father.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kent Cummings; daughter-in-law, Ruth S. Cummings of Sumter; two grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Cummings and Matthew Scott Cummings; and a brother-in-law, Donald McGovern of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sally McGovern.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
