Lance Clinton Moore Sr., 80, husband of Jerilynn Dice Moore, died on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at his home.

Born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Olanta, he was a son of the late Robert Coke Moore and Clara Lewis Moore. Mr. Moore attended Alice Drive Baptist Church. He owned and operated Moore Electric Co. Inc., until his retirement. Since retirement, he enjoyed riding his tractor, working in the yard, growing crepe myrtles from cuttings, looking at campers and tractors on his computer, spending time with family and spoiling his dog, Maddie, and new kitten, Lil Bit.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 59 years include three children, Tami Richardson (Waring) of Chapin, Lance Clinton "Clint" Moore Jr. (Amy) of Houston, Texas, and Bobbi Britton (John) of Sumter; eight grandchildren, Erin Kelly (Kevin), Brett Richardson (Kaylee), Keri Meredith (Crayton), Christopher Moore, Brunson Moore, Chandler Cannon (Ashley), Jake Cannon (Mackenzie) and Mason Cannon; three step-grandchildren, Taryn Johnson, Brandon Johnson and Austin Langley; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Kennedy of Turbeville and Gloria Frenz of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Moore, Leland Moore and Paul Moore; and two sisters, Janis Brown and Kay Hicks.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Fleming officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
