Kimberly Evon Smith Conyers, 43, wife of Thomas Conyers, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Walters Residential Home.

Born Aug. 31, 1967, in Manning, she was a daughter of Estelle Way Smith Wells and the late Arthur Smith II. She was a 1985 graduate of Manning High School and attended Sumter Technical College. In her life, she sought the need for a personal Savior and joined Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church and later fellowshiped at Ressurection Tabernacle of Deliverance. She was employed with Federal Mogul for many years.

Survivors are her mother, Estelle Smith Wells of Manning; husband, Thomas Conyers of Manning; three brothers, Joseph Smith and Robert Wells, both of Manning, and Arthur (Venessa) Smith of Columbia; and four sisters, Audrey Smith McCarthy of Columbia, Karen (Lawrence) Smith Green, Dorothy Epps and Mary Wells, all of Manning.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1260 Green Hill Church Road, Alcolu, with the Rev. James S. Hudley, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her mother, Estelle Smith Wells, 113 Richard St., Manning.
