JULIA MAE HILL HOLLIDAY

ST. MATTHEWS - On Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, Julia Mae Hill Holliday, widow of Howard "Doc" Holliday Jr., heard her master's call at Calhoun Convalescent Center in St. Matthews.

Born on Tuesday, July 14, 1942, in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Bobby and Julia Ann Hill.

A service celebrating her life will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning, where the Rev. Lillian Wright will preside. The Rev. Jeffrey B. Jackson Sr., pastor of Mt. Zero Missionary Baptist Church, will bring words of consolation.

The service of committal will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.

Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited to prevent the spread of the virus. Masks are required for those attending the service. Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel considers this recommendation and has adopted it into practice.

Services will be live streamed on the Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home and Chapel Facebook page.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

In accordance with the requirements given by the CDC in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is not receiving relatives and friends at the residence.
