JOSEPH BENJAMIN

Joseph "Joe" Benjamin, 68, was born on May 30, 1953, in Lee County, a son of the late Ulyssis and Mary Windham Benjamin. He departed this life on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Mcleod Hospice House, Florence.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Henry J. Dixon Jr., eulogist, and the Rev. Nathaniel Bess officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Florence National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, 302 Red Top Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080. All visitors are required to wear facial masks.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
