JOHN WILSON JR.

John Wilson Jr. departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born on April 19, 1959, he was the son of the late Malachi John Wilson and Bernethea Linton Wilson and the husband of Shirley Myers Wilson. John attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, Class of 1977. He served in the United States Army and was employed at Kaydon for 20 years until his health declined.  
John leaves precious memories to be cherished by his children, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. R. L. Brown officiating.
