JOHN MYERS II
John "EV" Myers II, 71, husband of Viola Bosier Myers, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Lake Marion Nursing Home in Summerton.
Born Dec. 12, 1938, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Hattie Parker Myers. John attended Clarendon and Sumter schools. In his youth, he joined Mt. Pleasant RUME Church.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Nelson and Thelma Frank.
Survivors besides his wife of the home include three sons, Neil of Suffren, N.Y., Dennis of Patterson, N.J., and Steven of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; a great- grandson; two brothers, Thomas of Pinewood and Jake of Newark, N.J.; a sister, Hattie Johnson of Orange, N.J.; three aunts; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Mt. Pleasant RUME Church, Panola, with the Rev. Powell Hampton Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Brown Cemetery.
