Jimmy W. Floyd, 72, widower of Shirley Ann Reardon Floyd, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his home.

Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Nathan and Lorene Lynch Floyd. Mr. Floyd was a retired supervisor at Santee Print Works with 44 years of service. He was a member of Sumter Elks Lodge No. 855 and Lakewood Country Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Ann Floyd Crosby and husband, Will, of Sumter; five sisters, Sylvis Floyd, Linda Robinson and Natalie Baker, all of Turbeville, Rotha Turner of Sumter and Gail Danner of Ridgeway; three grandchildren, Jimmy Todd Crosby, Elizabeth Ann Crosby and Ericia Stacy Crosby; four great-grandchildren; and a dear beloved friend, Sara Batten.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Nathan Floyd.

The family received friends at the home, 10 Worthington Court.
