Jeananne Evans Scrimgeour, 89, wife of the love of her life, John Smith Scrimerour, died on Friday, June 24, 2022, at her home.
Born on June 19, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Richard David Evans and Mildred Jones Evans. Mrs. Scrimgeour graduated from Bloomsburg State Teacher's College in 1954. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, where she served as an elder, deacon and wedding consultant. She also served as a board member for the Children's Museum and Friends of the Library at the Bloomsburg Public Library.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Laurie Landis, Lynne Gibson (Rob) and Leanne Lovice (David); one brother, David Howard Evans (Carol); six grandchildren, Alex Landis (Talia), Andrew Lovice (Mallory), Sydney Lovice, Ian Lovice, Reed Gibson and Gray Gibson; two great-grandchildren, Harris Lovice and Bowen Landis; her sister-in-law, Virginia Ravin; her caregiver, Heather Austin; a number of nieces and nephews; and a wealth of friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the home, 19 Wactor St.
