JAMES P. WILCOX
James P. Wilcox, 50, died on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010.
Mr. Wilcox was a son of Ray Wilcox and the late Katheryn Wilcox. He was the former owner and operator of Wilcox Trucking Co. He was an avid lover of music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, James R. Wilcox of Gulfport, Miss., and Christopher Prescott of Alcolu; two daughters, Katheryn "Katie" Elizabeth Wilcox Hardee of Manning and Catie Pereck of Long Meadow; one brother, Thor Wilcox of Copenhagen, Denmark; one sister, Nancy Wilcox Shepherd and her husband, David; and two grandchildren, Kyle Obryan Hardee and Keili Alexandria Wilcox.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katheryn Wilcox.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, in the Bullock Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clay Smith officiating.
