JAMES E. SWEAT

Funeral services for James E. Sweat will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 14 N. Brand St., Sumter, with the Rev. Larry W. Barnes, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday at the mortuary.

James was born on Sept. 8, 1958, in Manning, to the late Willie J. and Louise Bracey Sweat. He was the husband of Thomasina Davis Sweat.

James departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Columbia.

The family is receiving friends from 3 to 9 p.m. daily at 1010 Acres Ave., Sumter.
