GABLE - James Edward Prince, 62, husband of Willie Mae Felder Prince, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

He was born Jan. 27, 1949, in Turbeville, Clarendon County, a son of Samuel E. Prince and the late Mary Cousar Prince. He attended Walker Gamble High School, New Zion.

He was employed with Congare Iron Steel as a painter.

Survivors are his wife, Willie Mae Felder Prince of the home; three sons, James (Sharon) Prince of Sumter, and Roosevelt Prince and Jeramine Prince, both of Lynchburg; three daughters, Genesie(Ernest) Fulton of Turbeville, Geneva Prince of Olanta and Amy Prince of Sumter; two adoptive sons, Charles Fullard and Raymond McElveen; father, Samuel Prince of Turbeville; three brothers, Samuel (Carter Jean) Prince Jr. and Lavern (Annette) Goodman, both of Sumter, and Daniel (Ella) Prince of Gable; three sisters, Shirley (Robert) Nero of Lynchburg, Diane (Larry) Graham of Effingham and Kathleen (Dennis) Doctors of Florence; one aunt, Ola Mae Prince; three brothers-in-law; seven sisters-in-law; 23 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norris and Leroy Prince; one sister, Carolyn Arbonie; and one grandchild.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Mount Sinai AME Church, 4835 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Marie D.Webb, pastor, officiating, assisting the Rev. Ham's. Burial followed in Edwards Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Ella Prince, 2683 Farmington Road, Gable.
