IVORY MONTGOMERY BENSTON

Ivory Montgomery Benston, 89, widow of Maxwell Benston Sr., was born on Oct. 16, 1931, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Eugene and Lamb Budden Montgomery. She departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, at her residence.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Jonathan Smith, eulogist, and Pastor Tina Booker presiding. Interment will follow at Cain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, 917 Jensen Road, Sumter, SC 29154.
