Homicides in Sumter, Clarendon and Lee in single digits midyear; majority are firearm related

Sumter, Clarendon and Lee counties' law enforcement agencies reported single-digit numbers of homicides for the first half of 2022.

However, while the numbers may be low, the majority of the killings were firearm related.
