Hermione "Hummie" Dubrow Dickson, 92, widow of Flynn Elias Dickson, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in Wilmington, N.C., at Davis Health Care Center.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1918, a daughter of the late Herman and Lily Dubrow. Mrs. Dickson received a two year business degree from Winthrop College. She worked for many years at the Clarendon County Courthouse in the tax collector's office and the Office of the Superintendent of Education. Hummie enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends and was a lifelong member of Manning United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Hummie (John) Munn of Wilmington and Margaret (Bill) Kiser of Holly Springs, N.C.; daughter, Sallie Lindsay of Columbia; grandchildren, Matthew (Holly) Munn of Mukilteo, Wash., Jane Lindsay of Columbia, Charles (Christina) Lindsay of Charlotte, N.C., William (Stacy) Kiser of Wilmington and Sallie (Will) Hunt of Holly Springs; and great-grandchildren, Alexander and Hannah Munn and James Lindsay.

She was predeceased by a brother, Morgan Dubrow; a sister, Sallie Emma Dubrow Alderman; and a son-in-law, Dutch Lindsay.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning. Burial followed in Manning Cemetery.
