MANNING - Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Brooks St., has a summer of reading fun planned for the entire family.

For the teens, HCCL has a summer camp planned 1 to 4 p.m. June 3-7. It's a week full of Adventure Prep - from changing a tire to staunching a wound - and teens can learn the skills that will help them in future adventures.

Every Monday in June and July, teens will be able to experience art adventures. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., teens will be painting, crafting and more.

From 2 to 4 p.m. June 11 and July 9, teens will enjoy the silver screen. They'll join adults for road trip movies and adventures from the '80s!

All summer long, HCCL is offering Funday Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. Beginning Friday, June 14, teens will get an "Intro to Tabletop RPGs." Role-playing games, like Dungeons and Dragons, have been around for awhile, but the world of RPGs is much larger than just D&D. On June 21, teens will experience the adventure of map making. Teens will be able to flex their art skills and learn to draw awesome maps of "fantastical" places. On June 28, the adventure will focus on "weird science." Teens will be able to play an RPG that lets them discover alien botany and draw or make strange plants.

From 1 to 4 p.m. June 18, teenagers can visit HCCL to craft a vision board or book featuring their ultimate road trip.

The Fun and Adventures continue on Tuesdays and Fridays in July.

HCCL has partnered with Beanstack, Hoopla, Libby and Creativebug to enhance the reading materials that the library can offer. Individuals can log their reading online with Beanstack; access ebooks and audiobooks with the library's apps, Hoopla and Libby; and find how-to videos and inspiration for all manner of crafts with Creativebug.
