Handsome Thom is friendly, gentle and sweet

Thom, a handsome Labrador Retriever mix, weighs 62 pounds and is approximately 2 years old. Found wandering, he was turned in to animal control as a stray. He came in wearing a collar and seemed to be cared for but no one has come to claim him. Thom has a clean kennel in the morning and may be house-trained. He's friendly, gentle and sweet. He gets along well with most other dogs but should be the only male in the family. If you're looking for a walking or jogging partner, this guy loves to exercise. Thom has been working on his leash manners and learning not to pull. A home with a fenced-in yard would be best to give him plenty of room to play and burn some energy. Thom has just finished heartworm treatments and is ready to find his new forever family. As with all of our adoptable dogs, we do require a spay or neuter agreement, and it is strictly enforced. Proof of spay/neuter after adoption will be required. We have many other adoptable dogs as well as animals who were found and are waiting for their owners to claim them.
