FOLLY BEACH - Kayla Diane Hage of Lexington and Thomas Edwin Hart of North Charleston were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at The Pelican Watch Pavilion.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kris Eugene Hage of Lexington, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Marion Duncan of West Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. George Fairbairn of Batavia, Illinois, and the late Mr. Gene Edward Hage of Sandwich, Illinois, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Roy Cleveland Welborn and the late Mr. Welborn of Greenwood. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is employed by Berkeley County School District at College Park Middle School in Ladson.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Edward Eugene Hart III of Tega Cay and Ms. Barbara Lee Hart of Clover, and the grandson of Mrs. Edward Eugene Hart Jr. and the late Mr. Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Edward Parent and Mr. Larry David Lee, all of Sumter. He graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science. He is employed by Charles River Laboratories in Charleston.

The Rev. James Cory Henderson officiated at the ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Mrs. Stephanie Michelle Scoma served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miranda Renee Altman, Emily Christine Durocher and Emma Ragan Robinson.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Zachary Lee Hart, John Howard Olsen III and Ryan Taylor Staley.

The parents of the bride held the reception at The Pelican Watch Pavilion.

The parents of the bridegroom held the rehearsal party at Folly Beach.

The couple resides in North Charleston.
