Gracie Wilson, 73, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Windsor Manor Nursing Home.

She was born March 15, 1937, in Clarendon County. She was the daughter of the late General Green and Emma McConico Green and was reared by her grandmother, Mary Wilson. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined St. Mark AME Church.

Survivors are her daughter, Deborah (Charlie Sr.) Bell of Sumter; three sisters, Lue Ida Oliver of Manning, Sarah Brunson of Summerton and Mary Jones of Deerfield, Fla.; six brothers, Thomas (Dorothy) Green and Willie Green, both of Deerfield, Fla., Leroy Green, General Green Jr. and John Henry (Betty) Green, all of New York, N.Y., and Dennis Gibson of Rimini; four foster brothers, Willie (Barbara) Ragin and Robert (Paula) Oliver, both of Atlanta, Jerome (Juanita) Oliver and Joseph (Shirley) Oliver, both of Manning; four foster sisters, Debra (Michael) Bines of Baltimore, Neomia Turner of Summerton, Amanda (Samuel) Alston of Manning and Ida Oliver of Lithonia, Ga.; and a grandson, Charlie Bell Jr.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at St. Mark AME Church, Larry King Highway, Summerton, with the Rev. Edward Roberts, pastor, officiating, Presiding Elder Joseph Postell, presiding assisting the Rev. Willistine L. Legree, the Rev. Dr. Bernard Richburg and the Rev. Dr. Leslie J. Lovett. Burial was held in church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her sister, Lueida Oliver, 5367 Summerton Highway, Manning.
