GLENN W. SHORTER

SUMMERTON - Glenn Wayne "Dick" Shorter, 68, died June 3, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 22, 1942, in Davis Station, he was a son of the late John E. Sr. and Martha Lowder Shorter. He was a retired sign painter, an Army veteran and an associate of Shorter Auto Sales in Sumter, until his retirement.

Surviving are a brother, J.E. Shorter Jr. of Sumter; a sister, Evangeline S. Oldham of St. Augustine, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held June 5 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church cemetery, Davis Station.

Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory handled arrangements.
