GERALD LEGRAND ARDIS

Gerald LeGrand Ardis, 73, husband of Phyllis Williams Ardis, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Newell LeGrand Ardis and Hannah Kolb Ardis. Mr. Ardis was a retired employee of Korn Industries.

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Hank Flemin Ardis of Wedgefield, Matthew J. Ardis (Kristin) of Navarre, Florida, and Jason A. Ardis (Tammy) of Williston; two sisters, Phyllis Hodge and Julie Shadoan, both of Sumter; a brother, Ronnie Ardis of Augusta, Georgia; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne McElveen officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at 69 Glenwood Drive.
