GEORGE JUNE SR.
George June Sr., 56, widower of LaChelle Renee Generette June, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at his residence.
George was born on Saturday, Jan. 11,1969, to the late Herbert June Sr. and Lillie Mae Williams June.
George attended the public schools of Sumter County graduating with the class of 1987 from Sumter High. He graduated from Nashville Auto-Diesel Mechanic College in Tennessee with a diploma in auto mechanics.
George leaves to cherish the memories of his untimely death: his sons, Shaiheem (Imani), Capone (Tanisha) and George Jr. (O’Keara); his brothers, Phillip (Mildred) June and Eric June, and sister-in-law, Christine Ardis-June; a special friend/sister, Cheryl McKnight, and BD Godson/nephew, Perry “PJ” Canty. George also leaves his uncles, aunts, life-long friends and caregivers along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
George was preceded in death by his loving parents; his daughter, Briannica “Nikki” Johnson; granddaughter, Xurelia Renan June; and one brother, Herbert June Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 40 Rast St., Sumter from 2 to 8 p.m. daily. Greeting with the family members and viewing of the deceased at John Wesley Williams Sr. Chapel will take place on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
