GEORGE FELDER

George Felder, 73, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.

Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Elijah and Minnie Brown Felder. He attended the public schools at Clarendon County and was a member of Mt. Pleasant UME Church. He worked as a logger for Buddy Gedding Logging Co.

Survivors are his wife, Elouise Felder of Nesmith; two sons, John Felder of Sumter and Edward Felder of Tampa, Fla.; four daughters, Dorothy Felder of Columbia, Kim Felder of Nesmith, and Minnie Felder and Gloria Felder, both of Norwalk, Conn.; seven stepchildren, Betty Ann (Raynard Johnson), Albert, Veola, Martha, William, Robert and Donald Prince, all of Sumter; one sister, Willene Linton of Summerton; and a host of grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Mt. Pleasant UME Church, Pinewood, with Mary L. Brailsford officiating, assisting Evangelist Patricia Henry, Minister Chris Felder, Minister Samuel Green and Minister Patrice Dow.

The family received friends at the home of his sister, Willene Linton, 15 Wausau St., Summerton.
