FRANCES MINCEY McINNIS

Frances Mincey McInnis, age 79, beloved wife of 60 years to Walter M. McInnis, died on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born in Loris on Aug. 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James Preston Mincey and Anniebell Grainger Mincey. Mrs. McInnis had worked at Campbell's Soup and Walmart for many years. In addition, she had also worked as a surgical tech at both Tuomey and Clarendon Memorial hospitals and with the Red Cross. She enjoyed reading cookbooks and loved to bake. She was best known for making some good cakes. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. McInnis attended Bethesda Church of God.

In addition to her husband, Walter, of Sumter, she is survived by three daughters, Anita Neville (Mike Craft) and Vanessa McInnis (Tom) of Sumter and Linda Squires of Pinewood; three very special daughters, Shiny Chan of Malaysia and Julie Hair and Stephanie Mitchum of Sumter; three special sons-in-law, Dan Neville, Butch Caines and Larry Squires of Sumter; two brothers, Carlton Grainger (Betty) of Rock Hill and Wallace Mincey (Jean) of Gaston; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Neville, Jason Neville, Matthew Neville, Katie Neville, Doc Caines, Eric Caines, Nathan Caines, Amanda McInnis, Emily Broach and Lee Squires; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Walter Shannon; one sister, Linny Hyatt; one brother, Kenny Mincey; and one grandson, Josh Neville.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Church of God with the Revs. Al Sims and Neil DuBose officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
