Forestry Commission, Manchester State Forest donate to Sumter School District

Ralph Canty with a check for $277,536.32 on Monday at the district office. By state law, Manchester gives 25% of the annual revenue it receives to the local school district. Donations are deposited into the district’s general fund to benefit schools directly, according to the district.
