Fayetteville man, 65, dies in single-vehicle wreck in Lee County

The Lee County Coroner's Office released the name of the individual who died as a result of a single-vehicle wreck Sunday night. 

At about 9:24 p.m., Dirk Kelvin Lambert, 65, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was driving south on S.C. 341, near Log Cabin Road, in a 2001 Ford F150 when he struck a deer, ran off the roadway and hit a tree, according to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. 

Lambert was pronounced dead at the scene, said Coroner Larry Logan.  

Next of kin has been notified.
