ERNEST LEROY BELL

GABLE - Ernest Leroy "Roy" Bell, 60, died on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at his home.

Born on Jan. 17, 1960, in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Thomas Bell Sr. and Ophelia Dickerson Bell. He was employed by Wal-Mart in Virginia for 18 years and was employed by Amazon at the time of his death.

Survivors include three brothers, James T. Bell Jr. of Sumter, Williams P. "Billy" Bell (Martha) of Sumter and Philip Martin (Shannon) of Lancaster; two sisters, Katherine Bell Boyd (David) of Sumter and Debra Bell Prescott (L.H.) of Gable; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
