Enjoy a riverside hayride at Lee State Park on Saturday

BISHOPVILLE - It's time to get out and enjoy the fall air. Join park rangers and take in the autumn sights and smells as you relax on a 5-mile riverside hayride on Saturday on Loop Road around Lee State Park.

Two rides will be offered with the first ride departing from the day-use parking lot at 10 a.m. and the second ride leaving at 2 p.m. The ride will last over an hour. Please wear long pants and a jacket. Bring a water bottle along. The ride will stop at one of the park's artesian wells for a drink.

Adults must accompany children 17 and younger. Preregistration is required. Cost is $5 per person. Limited seating available. To register and prepay or for more information, call (803) 428-5307 or email lee@scprt.com.

Lee State Park covers 2,839 acres of wetlands, sandhills and mixed pine-hardwood forests along the Lynches River in Lee County, four miles east of Bishopville.
