Ella Mae Robinson, 79, was born on Jan. 8, 1941, in Sumter County, to her parents, the late Henry and Essie Mae Wilson Robinson. She departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at her home.

She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and worked as a domestic worker for several families in the Sumter community during her life time. She like cooking and going to church. She was a member of The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostles Doctrine Inc. and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the holy ghost. She was a faithful member of the Lynchburg Branch Church and continued until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Leroy (Fannie) Robinson of Rembert; special daughter, Jada Robinson of Dalzell; one brother, Corneal Robinson of Sumter; two special brothers, Kenny Turner and Brian McLeod, both of Sumter; four sisters, Minnie Robinson, Sister Elizabeth R. Addison, Sister Catherine V. Robinson and Rebecca Robinson, all of Sumter; a special sister, Sabrina (Darrell) Mitchell of Atlanta; three uncles, James, Robert and Elder Wilson, all of New Jersey; four aunts, Rovena, Sarah and Ethel, all of New Jersey, and Mattie of Sumter; a special aunt, Bertha McDuffie of Sumter; two sisters-in-law, Betty Robinson of Dalzell and Delois Burgess of New Jersey; special friends, Brother Andy Green, Johnny Cook and Ervin McLeod; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; caretaker, Emma Wells; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a large church family.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 3145 N. Main St., Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostles Doctrine Inc., 2449 Calvary Road, Hartsville, with Bishop Joe C. Tisdale officiating, eulogist.

The procession will leave at 2 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be in The Church In The Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostles Doctrine Inc. Cemetery.
