MANNING - Eleanor Jane Loar Shirkey, 72, wife of Norman William "Norm" Shirkey, died June 8 at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton.
Born March 24, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Columbus Bradford and Mildred Jane Brown Loar. She was a member of First Assembly of God.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Manning are a daughter, Drenda Gibson (Del) of Manning; a brother, Robert Loar of Steubenville; two sisters, Ruth Loar Paluch of Steubenville and Kathie Halsted of Cape Coral, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jancy Gibson and Christine Gibson, both of Manning.
Memorial services were held June 10 at First Assembly of God in Manning.
Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory handled arrangements.
