EDITH MAE "RABBIT" ALLEN GARDNER MAYBELL

Edith Mae “Rabbit” Allen Gardner Maybell, 82, widow of James “Budney” Gardner and David M. Maybell, and daughter of the late Thomas Pringle (Mary Emma Pringle) and Annie Ruth Allen Walters (Elijah P. W. Walters), was born on March 9, 1942, in Sumter.  She departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at her residence.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Marion Newton officiating.
Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery, Sumter.
Family will receive friends at the home, 24 W. Patricia Drive, Sumter, daily from 3-6 p.m.
Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
