Early voting available at 4 locations in Sumter through Saturday, Nov. 2

Early voting is under way in Sumter, and residents have four locations to choose from to cast their ballot. The early voting period for the statewide general election began Monday, Oct. 21, and will end Saturday, Nov. 2. Early voting is not available Sunday, Oct. 27. You can vote from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at one of these locations in Sumter:

  • Sumter County Voter Registration and Elections, 129 E. Liberty St., Sumter
  • F.J. DeLaine Elementary School, 5355 Cane Savannah Road, Wedgefield
  • Catchall-Shaw Community Center, 2680 Peach Orchard Road
  • Eastern Community Center, 3675 E. Brewington Road

Remember to bring your photo ID when checking in to vote.

The Sumter County Voter Registration and Elections office is the former Sumter Item building. The new Sumter Item building location on West Liberty Street is not available for early voting.
