NEW ZION - Dwayne Lewis Harrison, 46, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, after an accident in Lexington.

He was born Oct. 10, 1963, in New Zion, a son of Thelma Ruth Harrison and the late Lewis Brock. He was a 1982 graduate of East Clarendon High School. Early in life, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Howard Chapel AME Church. He was employed by Plowden Construction Co.

Survivors include his grandmother, Anna Gipson of Detriot, Mich.; mother, Thelma Ruth Harrison of the home; father figure, Delbert Graham of Gable; a son, Dwayne Louis Harrison Jr. of Gable; a daughter, Tieyanna McDowell of Shiloh; companion, Rudy Ann McFadden of Gable; three brothers, Terry Harrison of the home, Larry (Diann) Harrison of Mayesville and William Cooper of Detriot, Mich.; three sisters, Mary Jane (Josepha) Ham, Geneva (Joseph) McFadden of Gable and Temeika Cooper of Detriot; three aunts; four uncles; two grandaunts; and two granduncles.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Howard Chapel AME Church, Old Manning Road, New Zion with the Rev. Oliver Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial was held in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 7183 Black River Road, New Zion.
