Ms. Debbie Bramlett DuRant of Sumter and Dr. Eddie C. DuRant of Wedgefield announce the engagement of their daughter, Dixie Gloria Bell DuRant of Charleston, to Catlin DeWitt Craven of Orangeburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Craven of Orangeburg.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Eddie C. DuRant Sr. of Sumter and the late Mrs. Gloria Bell DuRant and Mr. Henry Luke Bramlett of Murrells Inlet and the late Mrs. Elma Bramlett. She graduated from Sumter High School in 2007 and Clemson University in 2011. She is employed by Meeting Street Schools.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Craven and the late Ms. Ida Shuler. He graduated from Edisto High School. He is employed by Sweeping Corps of America.

The wedding is planned for Feb. 6, 2021, in Downtown Sumter.
