DONALD THOMAS

MANNING - Donald "Casey" Thomas, 63, died on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, in Sumter.

Born on July 8, 1958, in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Henry Thomas and Isobel Wactor Thomas. He was a retired claims adjuster in the insurance industry, and he was a member of Palmetto Bassmasters.

He is survived by his fiancée, Myra J. Smith of Manning; a brother, John Henry Thomas Jr. (Beverly) of Sumter; a sister, Sherry Thomas Garris (Roderick) of Pinewood; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Manning (Marty) of Elgin; three step-grandchildren, Mikayla Manning, Madeline Manning and Marty Manning Jr. of Elgin; and a nephew, Clay Garris of Pinewood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Johnna "Babs" Thomas.

Services will be private.
