FROM STAFF REPORTS

If you missed out on Clemson Extension's last DIY rain barrel workshop, you are in luck; another is planned for Sumter, Florence and Darlington.

The workshop, via online video, will teach participants how to assemble a rain barrel that requires no downspout.

Participants will receive a link to the video, a pre-cut 55-gallon rain barrel and all necessary supplies for assembly including screen to keep out mosquitos for $35. The tutorial will even include optional steps for painting your rain barrel.

Rain barrel supplies must be obtained during no-contact pick-up at Clemson Extension office in Sumter County, 115 N. Harvin St., or Florence County, between noon and 1 p.m. June 11, but barrels can be purchased now. One rain barrel per household. Supplies are limited, and registration is required.
