SUMMERTON - Diane Ronnette "Ann" House, 55, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia.

She was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Clarendon County, a daughter of the late Mary Lee and Joesph House. Diane attended Clarendon County public schools and was a 1974 graduate of Scott's Branch High School. She was employed by Goat Island Restaurant and later worked in housekeeping at Taw Caw Campground. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by two brothers, James Lee and Elvin "Bubba" House; two sisters, Lizzy Mae and Mary Ellen; a nephew, Wesley House; and a special cousin, Rosa Ann Henry.

Survivors include a loving and devoted son, Terrance Frankie House of Sumter; a granddaughter that she adored, Tehsia House of Sumter; three brothers, Joenathan (Beatrice) House of Summerton, and Leroy (Flozena) House and Hiwatha (Glorine) House, both of Richmond, Va.; seven sisters, Gertie Mae Riley, Jessie Ree Lawson, Sindy House and Yvonne Terry, all of Summerton, Janice House of Brooklyn, N.Y., Lenora (Edward) Brailsford of Columbia and Dorothy Shetfall of Wilmington, N.C.; three adopted daughters, Tampitha (Mark) Green-Singleton of Summerton, Lawanda Green of Texas and Loree Green of Santee; a daughter-in-law, Sharon House of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Robert Lee Riley of Summerton; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy House of Summerton and Brenda House-Faust of Columbia; a special friend, William L. Canty of Summerton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. William T. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
