COLUMBIA - Delma Geneva Templin, 73, wife of Gerald Richard "Jerry" Templin, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.

Born April 6, 1937, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Brown and Viola Mitchum Carter. She was a member of East Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church. She worked as a nurse's aide at the South Carolina State Hospital for eight years prior to her retirement.

Survivors besides her loving husband of Columbia, include a brother, Leroy Carter (wife, Mary Lou) of Manning; a sister, Inez Grooms of Sumter; stepchildren, Sandra Judd and Paul Templin, both of Carson City, Nev., and Lynda Bearly of Shelbyville, Ind.; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Carter and Mary Lou Baker, both of Sumter, Barbara Rabon of Florence, Suzanne Pellicciotti of Douglassville, Pa., Sarah Templin of St. Matthews, N.C., and Brenda Schaffer of Shillington, Pa.; and brothers-in-law, Cleon Templin of St. Matthews, Nelson Pellicciotti of Douglassville, Gene Baker of Sumter and Charles Rabon of Florence.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 10, at East Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Robert G. Ward Sr. officiating.
