MANNING - Daisy Hilton Riley, 59, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, after a vehicle wreck.

Born Sept. 5, 1950, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Archie Hilton Sr. and Ada Jane Starks Hilton. She graduated from Manning High School in 1971. In her youth, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher and a member of the choir. She was employed with Trimaco LLC.

Survivors include two sons, Derrick A. (Linda) Hilton of Glenn Burnie, Md., and Herbert Rashun Riley III of the home; a significant other, James Dow of Manning; a brother, Elder Henry L. (Norvella) Hilton of Manning; four sisters, Stella M. (Jeremiah) Cobia and Odessa (Harold) Gibson, both of Sumter, and Francine Johnson and Allene (Clarence) Weeks, both of Manning; five aunts; and a grandson.

Funeral services were held July 23 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2928 St. John Church Road, Manning, with the Rev. Ranzy McFadden Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial was held in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Henry Lee and Norvelle Hilton, 1217 Jasmine Way, Manning.
