COVID-19 vaccination clinic set for Oct. 16 in Manning

MANNING - To follow up from the vaccination clinic on Sept. 11, the City of Manning in partnership with HopeHealth, the Department of Health and Environmental Control and Emory University in Atlanta will hold a vaccine clinic for initial dose, second dose or booster (for qualified recipients) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Manning Fire Department's bay area, 38 W. Boyce St.

Manning Mayor Julia Nelson said that due to the assistance of Manning's hometown daughter, Brittany Prince, who facilitated Emory University's financial donation, a $25 gift certificate will be offered to the first 100 individuals that receive a vaccination of their choice: Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson.

Free masks will also be available to those receiving vaccinations.

This event is open to the public regardless of where you live.
