Cleo Robinson Bost, 88, widow of Irving Newsone and Eddie Bost, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Born Jan. 5, 1922, in the Jordan section of Manning, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Peter and Loutisher Hilton Robinson. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she became an active member. She attended Jordan Elementary School and Lincoln High School. After high school, she moved to New York and became an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. After retirement, she moved to Portsmouth, Va., and she moved back home 13 years later.

Survivors are her daughter, Persephone (Howard) Powell of Manning; one sister, Margaret House of the home; three grandchildren, Garrick (Jennifer) Powell of Portsmouth, Jocelyn Powell (Henry) McPhatter of Cambria Heights, Md., and Damian (LaTisha) Powell of Garner, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; nine nieces; and four nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 5918 S.C. 260, Manning, with the Rev. Carnell Witherspoon, pastor, presiding, the Rev. Sam Livingston, eulogist, assisting Minister Loretta Briggs, Minister Eloise Jackson, Evangelist Shirley M. Waiters and the Rev. O'Donald Dingle. Burial followed in Antioch Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends at the home, 1924 Thompson Drive, Manning.
