Clarendon County Sheriff Baxley: Motive for shooting at Gable club unknown

GABLE – A security guard at Big Daddy’s Club in Gable was shot in the hand early Monday morning.
Deputies with the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Big Daddy’s Club on U.S. 301 for a shooting incident involving one gunshot victim. On arrival, deputies found the wounded man actively working the door at the club. Clarendon County EMS transported the man to McLeod Health Clarendon.
Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley said that deputies recovered numerous shell casings in the parking area of the club, and in the roadway in front of the club.
According to deputies, witnesses at the club said there was a large crowd outside the club when an altercation occurred involving gunfire. Witnesses also told deputies that there were multiple shooters involved during the shooting. Several vehicles were also struck by gunfire.
Baxley said that at this time he does not have any information on the motive for the shooting.
